Let the good times roll #onRobson. Hello Nori, a sushi-focused Japanese restaurant, just opened its’ first-ever location on Robson Street and we’re soy excited! Their unique and modern approach to classic Japanese fare is elevating the hand roll experience and redefining what it means to eat sushi. Hello Nori’s combination of fresh fish, crunchy seaweed, authentic sauces and warm rice creates a hand roll unlike any other and it’s prepared right before your eyes.
The curated menu reflects a vibrant Vancouver lifestyle, infused with Japanese influences. Choose from a selection of Hokkaido scallop, negitoro, yellowtail, and truffle lobster. There are 13 hand rolls in all, available à la carte or as part of a set menu of four, five, and six rolls. Their locally brewed sake, served cold, is the perfect pairing.
Beyond their distinctive menu, the restaurant itself is also a feature. Inspired by the Japanese notion of wabi-sabi (“appreciating the beauty of imperfection”), as well as Western modernism, the 1,500-square-foot space designed by Vancouver-based Concrete Cashmere Designs, combines raw materials such as wood, metal and concrete with mountainscape scenery and a ceiling that evokes ocean waves. In short, an echo of Vancouver’s extraordinary fusion of urban architecture and rugged surroundings.
Find Hello Nori at 1165 Robson Street and experience the Hand Roll Bar for yourself.
