Staff

Teri Smith | Executive Director

Teri started her BIA career serendipitously 15 years ago following university and without any knowledge of what a ‘BIA’ was or does. After accepting a part-time job wth the Hastings North BIA, she quickly fell in love with the work and discovered her passion for community and economic development. Teri has since worked with various BIA districts in Metro Vancouver before landing on Robson Street five years ago.

When she’s not working, she is a busy mom of two young children and can often be found cheering them on at the soccer field. Teri also enjoys baking, running and is an avid reader.

Gurleen Pooni | Social Media and Marketing Manager

Gurleen Pooni, is a recent graduate from Western University. She joined Robson Street with 7 years of BIA experience under her belt. In 11th grade, she joined the first ever Jr. BIA as a general member on a volunteer basis. Eventually becoming the Jr. BIA Chair and then administrative assistant at the Collingwood BIA for summers to follow.
