Ladurée is best known for creating the world’s most delectable macarons, presented in exquisite gift boxes, alongside delicious pastries, sweets and savoury treats. Until recently, Ladurée #onRobson offered an extensive selection of mouth-watering macarons, but only a limited menu of other treats and savouries. Fortunately, Vancouver is now home to the first Ladurée pastry laboratory in Canada and we can delight in the full Parisian experience #onRobson (without the costly plane ticket).
Behind each Ladurée dessert are years of tradition and a Ladurée executive chef. We are excited to welcome, Chef Mickaël de Monte, to his new Robson Street home. Chef Mickaël has moved here from Paris to share his mastery and to work his magic from the pastry laboratory, delivering the exact taste and quality of treats you would enjoy in Paris.
We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Mickaël and tasting the infamous pastries and Viennoiseries. On your next visit to Ladurée #onRobson, we definitely recommend the Ispahan – a rose macaron, filled with rose-petal cream and lychees and decorated with fresh raspberries (it’s almost too pretty to eat)! But who are we kidding?…we loved the rest of the pastry collection as well, which includes: the Plasir Sucré, Lemon Meringue Tart, Praline Millefeuille, Pistachio Religieuse, Milk Chocolate Éclair, Fleur Noir, and the Rose Raspberry Saint Honoré. The selection of Viennoiseries – croissants, pains au chocolat, brioches, palmiers – are perfect with your morning coffee or weekend brunch.
It’s time to start planning that next afternoon tea date! Bon appetit!
