All we need is love… Love is back in the air with colourful street installations in Vancouver. We have teamed up with 16 other BIAs in Vancouver to host a month-long #LoveYourCity #FindLove initiative throughout February to provide everyone a safe and fun opportunity to discover Vancouver’s beautiful neighbourhoods. Explore unique street installations, and other experiences that will warm your heart!
We’re spreading the love #onRobson with various installations that will be popping up February 7th – 21st. Love to win prizes?! Spot the installations, snap a pic and share on Instagram to be entered to win a grand prize valued at approximately $4,000. Help us share the love!
How it works:
- Visit any (or all!) of the participating neighbourhoods of the Love Your City contest during the month of February.
- Take a photo of the special displays and share to your Instagram account feed or story.
- Tag @loveyourcitycontest and the neighbourhood you are visiting (ex. #FindLoveRobson).
- You’ll be automatically entered to win the grand prize!
Visit our gorgeous love installations #onRobson from February 7th – 21st or our murals all month long. Be sure to take a pic of or in front of them to enter the contest.
- Love is…
Discover a picture perfect setting for love at 1145 Robson Street. Designed by Jaleh from JEvents Planning & Design, this fun photo op is perfect for you and your special Valentine! Also nestled in this spot is a mailbox full of love notes for you to take and share with your loved ones.
- Bloom*
*no longer available, but we would like to highlight the beautiful work of JEvents Planning and Design with the image and description below.
Love blooms with time and care. Our colourful Bloom piece was once beautifully blooming in the bus shelter on the corner of Robson x Thurlow Street (next to Banana Republic).
- Up!
Our Up! installation reminds us to Love Others Very Eagerly. You can visit this piece at the Blue Horizon Hotel, located at 1225 Robson Street.
- Butterfly Kiss Mural
Created by Coast Salish artist, Ovila Mailhot, Butterfly Kiss can be found at 1046 Robson Street. The butterfly is a symbol of growth and beauty and undergoes many changes throughout its lifespan before showing its true beauty and colour.
- Flower Crown Mural
While we celebrate love this month, we also honour Black History Month. We were fortunate to collaborate with artist, Ejiwa Ebenebe a.k.a Edge, and have her “Flower Crown’ mural displayed at 1168 Robson Street. This piece celebrates Black tranquility, happiness and presence.
Each Love Your City activation #onRobson will have a QR code decal, scan it for campaign and contest details. Find love #onRobson and in all the other amazing Vancouver neighbourhoods this month. Follow along on our Instagram page for updates – @robsonstreet.
