Christmas in Vancouver: Shop, Dine and Be Merry #onRobson

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks, dressed in holiday style. And in the air there’s a feeling of Christmas!

The holiday season is here and unlike 2020, spirits are merry and bright this year. We’re looking forward to sharing many magical moments with you #onRobson to warm your hearts and bellies and of course help you fulfill all those holiday wish lists! We’re excited for this year’s festive calendar of events and happenings, so be sure to make Robson Street a part of your holiday plans and let’s shop, dine and be merry together!

If there is only one piece of advice we can impart to you, let it be this…SHOP EARLY this holiday season! Retailers are still experiencing supply chain challenges, so get your list together and start shopping NOW to avoid disappointment. You can always order online and utilize the in-store pick-up option. Also keep your eye out for sales, as many shops have been starting their holiday promotions early. Um, who doesn’t love to save money…perhaps a holiday treat for yourself?

Now that many public health orders have lifted, we can properly celebrate the season with our extended family, friends and co-workers. And what better way to do so than over a good meal. From casual to up-scale, Robson Street has a variety of restaurants to meet your party needs and satisfy any craving. Book your holiday brunches, lunches and dinners in advance and get ready to indulge in some good cheer. Perhaps dining at home is still preferred and if so, that’s A-OK, you can always order take-out or pick up some seasonal desserts from one of the many sweet spots #onRobson.

Robson Street is now sparkling bright; the trees and light poles have been illuminated and along with the beautiful holiday store windows, provide a warm, inviting experience for shoppers. One of our favourite things to do is grab a cozy holiday beverage (with eggnog, of course) and stroll #onRobson soaking in the the merriment of the season (note, this is enjoyed much more when holiday shopping is complete)!

Adding to this year’s festivities, we are beyond excited to welcome back Fleurs de Villes Noel #onRobson from December 10th to 19th. This year’s 3rd annual floral trail will include gorgeous fresh flower installations scattered throughout Robson and Alberni Streets, as well as at the Vancouver Art Gallery and Bentall Centre. Also expect to find pop-up flower vendors, workshops and other experiential elements during the event. Fleurs de Villes Noel has become a much-loved holiday tradition in the city (trust us, your Instagram feed is going to be flower-bombed) and a bloomin’ beautiful way to share a little joy and merriment.

We’re also welcoming back New Gen. Market in Bute Robson Plaza for a very special holiday edition. Mark November 26th & 27th, as well as Dec. 11th, 12th, 17th and 18th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on your calendars, friends. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to discover amazing local vendors and to start checking off those wish lists! Follow them on Instagram for a list of vendors and important updates.

Lastly, the fun continues with a series of holiday workshops in collaboration with some of our fave local partners. We have partnered with JEvents Planning & Design to bring a fun evening of wreath making, wine and nibbles to the city and we are opening it up to the public, hosted at CB2 on Robson St on Monday, December 13th – 8:30-10pm. Learn how to make our signature Christmas wreath using all sorts of textures and shapes of greens, fun botanicals and natural ornaments for you to take home or give as a gift. Only a few tickets left!
