Love is in the air across the city! We have teamed up with 15 other BIAs in Vancouver to host a month-long #LoveYourCity #FindLove initiative throughout February to provide locals a safe and fun opportunity to explore Vancouver’s unique neighbourhoods. Discover colourful street installations, fun-loving contests and other experiences that will warm your heart!
#onRobson, we’re spreading the love with various installations that will be popping up February 8th – 14th. Spot them, snap a pic and share on Instagram to be entered to win daily prizes and a grand prize valued at $5,000. Help us share the love!
How it works:
- Visit any (or all!) of the participating hoods of the Love Your City contest during the month of February.
- Look out for giant sweetheart candies, hearts, murals, love banners, and more. Take a photo of the special displays and share to your Instagram account feed.
- Tag @loveyourcitycontest and the neighbourhood you are visiting (ex. #FindLoveRobson).
- You’ll be entered to win daily prizes. The participating districts have come together to create an epic grand prize valued at $5,000.
We invite you to visit our love installations #onRobson from February 8th – 14th or our murals all month long. Don’t forget to snap a pic of or in front of them to enter the giveaway.
- Butterfly Kiss Mural
Created by Coast Salish artist, Ovila Mailhot, Butterfly Kiss can be found at 1046 Robson Street. The butterfly is a symbol of growth and beauty and undergoes many changes throughout its lifespan before showing its true beauty and colour.
- You + me = love
Find the perfect equation for love in the bus shelter near the corner of Robson and Thurlow (to the east of Banana Republic). This fun photo op is perfect for you and your special Valentine!
- Garden of LOVE
Like a garden, love blooms with time and care. Find the Garden of LOVE beautifully blooming on the Parklet located on the north side of Robson and Thurlow. Also nestled in this spot is a mailbox full of love notes for you to take and share with your loved ones.
- Flower Crown Mural
While we celebrate love this month, we also honour Black History Month. We were fortunate to collaborate with artist, Ejiwa Ebenebe a.k.a Edge, and have her “Flower Crown’ mural displayed at 1168 Robson Street. This piece celebrates Black tranquility, happiness and presence.
- Ride with me
Swing by the Blue Horizon Hotel to discover the whimsical, flower-bombed installation, which is the perfect backdrop for an Insta-worthy snap. A second love-filled mailbox is also located here at 1225 Robson Street.
Each Love Your City activation #onRobson will have a QR code decal. Scan it for campaign and contest details. We’ll also be rewarding our favourite photos with daily prize packs featuring our custom Robson Street tote bags and umbrellas. Follow along on our Instagram page – @robsonstreet – for details.
As for the Grand Prize, Robson Street is contributing with a $150 gift card to Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House. We truly believe the way to the heart is through the stomach. Buon Appetito! Please note, you must enter the Love Your City Contest to be entered to win this prize.
Have fun soaking up the love #onRobson and in all the other amazing Vancouver neighbourhoods. Be safe, mind your distance and mask up!
