On Dec. 7, 14 and 21 from 6 to 8 p.m, Winter’s Dance #onRobson returns this holiday season featuring mixed reality dance performances and interactive light installations inspired by Tchaikovsky classics, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Taking centre stage at Bute Robson Plaza will be performances by the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Nutcracker, the Bluebird and the Little Swans.
Winter’s Dance #onRobson is a whimsical, urban ballet combining live and digital dance. This year, Small Stage will transform Bute Robson Plaza into a ‘Snowflake Winter Wonderland’ to create an innovative public space experience complete with projections, virtual reality, a mash-up musical score, as well as a truly unique lighting design by Dotdot Productions (featured at 2019’s Burning Man).
The Robson Street Business Association (RSBA), in collaboration with Small Stage, a local dance creation and presentation company, brings artists and audiences together through unexpected dance and public art works amidst the hustle and bustle of downtown Robson Street.
The Snowflake Winter Wonderland will remain in place for the month of December for all to enjoy. For more information, please visit the Facebook event.
