It’s back! Indigo #onRobson has finally opened its doors and it was well worth the wait! Taking over the two-storey, 29,000-sq-ft retail building, Indigo introduces a new full concept store to Vancouver at 1033 Robson Street. Inspired by the city of Vancouver, Indigo has a contemporary, inviting aesthetic – from light wood features to giant murals of BC forests.
Heather Reisman, CEO of Indigo, had a vision for a “cultural department store for book-lovers” with this new concept, evolving Indigo’s selection beyond just books to include everything from paper products and stationery to baby lines, and fashion items to houseware and art. The new concept of the store keeps the books at the heart and soul of the experience, yet compartmentalized the store into several core categories. Featured in Indigo #onRobson is an IndigoKids department stocked with children’s titles and STEM products, a Paper Shop department with a large collection of aesthetically pleasing notepads and cards, a Wellness Shop with home and meditation essentials, an amazing magazine selection, along with a cooking department called “Joy of the Table,” stocked with all the cooking essentials and recipe books.
With the addition of the second-floor Starbucks, Indigo has created a platform to make the bookshop a meeting place where individuals are able to come together to grab a cup of coffee, gather knowledge, and experience different product lines.
We know where we’ll be cozying up with a book and a hot cup of coffee on cold, rainy Vancouver days!
