In celebration of the upcoming festive holiday, Robson Street hosted its very first Friendsgiving Dinner and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with friends, new and old! We gathered to give thanks over an intimate dining experience at the beautiful CB2 on Robson Street.
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect and be present with friends and family whilst sharing a lovely meal. Food always has a way of bringing people together, igniting meaningful conversations and connections and our hearts are full after last evening’s festivities.
Before we sat down to our family-style meal, Jaleh Fotoohi of JEvents Planning & Design provided our guests with her personal tips and tricks to inspire us to recreate our own well-appointed tables at home for Thanksgiving and other special occasions. Using several decorative accessories from CB2, small floral bouquets, white pumpkins, gold accents and of course candlelight, Jaleh created a beautifully adorned tablescape that set the mood for the evening.
Below are some tips for how you can make the most of your Thanksgiving table decor:
- Don’t be shy to mix patterns and shapes.
- If sticking with an all gold centerpiece, play with different textures and heights.
- Small bouquets go a long way.
- Invest in professional bouquets.
- Candles set the mood.
- Only use cutlery you need for the meal.
