This summer, the 800 block of Robson Street?will transform into an “Urban Reef”, the winning design of the 2014?Robson Redux competition! Created by Kaz Bremner,?Jeremiah Deutscher, Michael Siy and Kenneth Navarra ? a team of local architects, designers and carpenters,?their design was selected from 78?remarkable entries submitted from around the world. When judging the designs, the jury took into consideration creativity, design originality, feasibility and this year?s theme of ?connection.?
VIVA Vancouver’s Robson Redux’s goal?for turning?Robson Street into a pedestrian place is to?encourage people to slow down, pause and connect with each other in an inviting urban setting. Urban Reef will be open from July 1st through September 1st.
